ACCESS CONTROL

Access Control is the management of which person has access to what door and when. By allocating an Access Control Card to a member of your staff, you are able to program that card identification to open electronic locks fitted to doors at particular days and times. MONITORING


SE Security is able to provide you with Alarm Monitoring via a fully manned 24-Hour Grade 1A Central Monitoring Station, in accordance with Australian Standards 2201.

The Alarm Monitoring types are:

Dialler
Dialler monitoring is the most basic and least secure of alarm monitoring methods. This is where the Alarm Panel has a built in Dialler, which is connected to a PSTN line. The way this works is, that when an alarm sensor is tripped into alarm, it will activate the dialler to dial out to the pre-programmed control room receiver number. Once the connection is made, the panel will transmit the alarms to the control room for action.
In the event that a detector is activated, the Alarm Panel Dialler will make a Dialler connection with the Central Monitoring Station, and send through the alarm activation and the detector zone number which will identify the detector location relative to the building.

GSM Mobile Network Monitoring
GSM Monitoring has been essentially used as a back up or secondary alarm reporting devices to Dialler or in instances or in locations where a PSTN Line (or a telephone line network) is not available. This type of monitoring utilizes the mobile telephone network to report any loss of Telephone line service and any subsequent alarms. The GSM Unit requires a SIM Card which is supplied by the client.
GSM offers a high level of security and reliability, as the alarm signals will still be sent through to the Central Monitoring Centre after a telephone line has been cut.

GPRS
GPRS monitoring is largely seen as a replacement for the now defunct Securitel Network, as it offers the "Supervised Line" feature. GPRS Wireless essentially uses the Mobile Phone network as its operational platform. To place an existing Alarm Panel on the GPRS Wireless Network, a stand alone GPRS unit needs to be installed and interfaced to the Panel.
